We proudly operate off-grid, operating entirely on solar energy, equipped with cutting-edge batteries and solar panels. Our ample supply avoids the common power cuts in Tanzania, ensuring uninterrupted comfort on solar power for all our energy needs. For eco-friendly comfort, we utilize solar water heaters.

While off-grid, we’re anything but basic. Apart from a hairdryer, everything works seamlessly, allowing you to enjoy without limitation.

Local Sourcing

Emphasizing our support for the local community, we prioritize sourcing as much as possible from nearby areas.

The eggs and milk are sourced from Kikokwe, while we make an effort to obtain all our vegetables and fruits from Pangani.

Furthermore, for our building projects, we prioritize the use of local materials and collaborate with skilled local builders, contributing to the preservation and growth of the surrounding community.

Eco-friendly Practices

Committed to minimizing our environmental impact, we take waste reduction seriously in the face of the challenge. Without a garbage collection service, we manage everything ourselves, prioritizing recycling and minimizing burning.

We reduce plastic usage by opting for bulk purchases and providing water in glass bottles. Our team diligently cleans the pristine beaches daily. As a guest, participating in this meaningful and enjoyable task allows you to contribute to the preservation of our beautiful environment.

Community Engaged

With a small, authentic village around the corner, we aim to involve the community in our activities.

For activities and excursions around the lodge, we engage local individuals from the village whom we train in English, guiding skills, and knowledge. This not only provides employment opportunities within the community but also ensures an authentic and enriching experience for our guests with insights from those intimately familiar with the local culture and environment.
